Twice each week I’ll examine a different object that has, in some subtle or insidious way, found itself in my life. Sometimes this can be a commentary or observation and other times a starting point for a story or an experience. Objects captivate us, define us, shape our home and work environments. In giving each a story, I want to bring these small things to life.

    すべてのオブジェクトは物語がある。すべてのオブジェクトは寿命があります。

    udon

I used to be scared of udon noodles; they seemed sort of like how I imagined my intestines. As soon as I got the seasoning down, udon sort of became a compulsion. I bet I have a tapeworm from all the noodles I eat. Mirin sauce is really good, kind of like sugary vinegar. Then there’s the “MSG coated salt” product – it kind of makes everything taste good.
